Viewing Options at Bullish

The option ladder is a visual table that displays various options contracts for a specific underlying asset, organized by their strike prices and expiration dates (tenors). Its purpose is to give traders a comprehensive overview of the available options, allowing them to quickly assess prices, implied volatilities, risk metrics (Greeks) and your open positions to make informed decisions.

What do i use the Options ladder ?

The option ladder is interactive and directly integrated into the trading workflow. The process is designed to be efficient:

  1. Select Tenor: A trader picks a tenor to view its details and also sees the current count of open positions.

  2. Select an Option: A trader begins by clicking on a specific CALL or PUT contract directly on the options ladder. The ladder shows key data points for each contract, including:

    1. Mark Price + Corresponding Implied Volatility (IV)

    2. Best Bid / Best Ask Price + Corresponding Implied Volatility (IV)

    3. Best Bid / Best Ask Sizes

    4. Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta).

    5. The current underlying price, which is the mark price of the corresponding dated future.

    6. Open position size on the portfolio.

  3. View the Order Panel: Once a contract is selected, the full ladder view collapses to the side, revealing the Order Entry panel with current open positions, order book, and price chart for that specific option.

  4. View Open Positions: Once positions are active, you can monitor it across several areas

    1. Order Panel

    2. Tenor List Label (displays position count)

    3. Option Ladder Positions

In Options contracts, you can place long or short positions across all supported markets.

How to close a Options position

In options contracts, you can close your position by creating a new contract that will offset the result of the initial position. For example, to be able to close your long position of 1 BTC in the BTC option market, you must also enter a short position of 1 BTC in the same market.
