Confirming and Accepting an OTC Trade
If your counterparty has initiated an OTC trade and shared a link or a Match Key, you are responsible for formally verifying the details and accepting the transaction. This action sends your final trade instruction to the matching engine.
Accepting OTC trade
Click on the URL shared your counterparty shared with you. This will automatically take you to the OTC screen with trade details pre-populated for your side of the transaction
Alternatively, go to the left-hand navigation and choose OTC.
Select the Accept tab.
Enter the Match Key:
If you received a full link, the unique Match Key will be automatically pre-filled upon loading the page.
If you received only the code (Match Key), manually enter it into the input field and select Retrieve
Review the full details of the unconfirmed trade and your indicative margin requirements post-trade.
Note: The trade economics (buy/sell) and the Maker/Taker role displayed are always the inverse of the initiating counterparty. You are viewing the trade from the perspective of the confirming party.
If all information is accurate and the indicative margin is acceptable, select Submit. Otherwise, do not submit the trade. Instead, confirm the discrepancy with your counterparty off-exchange. They will need to resubmit the trade and provide you with a new Match Key.
Your OTC trade will be submitted to the engine for matching and clearing.
Note: Since your counterparty has already submitted their corresponding trade instruction, your submission will either be matched immediately or fail due to an error
