Providing your Tax Identification Number (TIN)
A Tax Identification Number (TIN) is a unique combination of letters and/ or numbers assigned to individuals and entities for tax purposes that is issued by a governmental authority. Further details of TINs can be found at the OECD automatic exchange of information portal.
To comply with regulatory and tax reporting obligations, Bullish requires you to provide your TIN when creating an account for verification and reporting purposes.
A reason must be provided where TIN information is requested but not given:
The jurisdiction where you are subject to income tax as a resident does not issue TINs.
Note: For individual customers who are tax residents in jurisdictions which do not automatically issue TINs, this reason will be automatically selected and you are not required to choose from the options.
You are otherwise unable to obtain a TIN or equivalent number. (Please explain why you are unable to obtain a TIN).
The laws of your jurisdiction of tax residence do not require you to provide a TIN.
Important: Bullish does not provide tax advice. The information presented in the table below is prepared for informational purposes only, and is not intended to provide, and should not be relied on for tax advice. You should consult your own tax advisor specific to your circumstances.
